The reaction of ethyl piperidine-4-carboxylate with (bromomethyl)benzene to get ethyl 1-benzylpiperidine-4-carboxylate, then acylamination and ammonification to get 1-benzylpiperidin-4-amine, which is the key intermediate for the preparation of 4-(4-Piperidinyl)morpholine dihydrochloride.
